Join us on Feb. 18 from 1 to 4 p.m. to celebrate the opening of the Taussig Cancer Center. Visitors can take self-guided tours of the new building and receive free health screenings and educational wellness materials. Healthy refreshments, giveaways and children’s activities also will be offered.
The 377,000-square-foot center will revolutionize cancer care at Cleveland Clinic. Multidisciplinary treatment teams will unite to transform and personalize patient therapies. Each disease group will have its own dedicated clinical practice area on a floor of the new building, including space for nurses, social workers and other key team members, and exam and procedure rooms. The building will enhance cancer research by including dedicated space to support Phase I, II and III clinical trials.
Uniting all of the treatment disciplines and support services will create “a seamless, personalized experience for patients,” says Brian J. Bolwell, MD, FACP, Chairman of the Taussig Cancer Institute and holder of The M. Frank Rudy and Margaret Domiter Rudy Institute Chair in Translational Cancer Research.
The building will open for patient appointments on March 6.
